Penzion and Grill Restaurant Na Ostrově

The Pension and Grill Restaurant Na Ostrově is located in a lucrative place in the centre of Český Krumlov on a small island formed by the River Vltava and a mill race. From the pension’s windows there is a view of Krumlov Castle, the Castle Tower and the River Vltava. The historical centre of town is in the immediate vicinity (Approx. 50) metres). The central car park with video surveillance is 100 metres from the pension. The pension building dates from the mid-19th century. Originally a burgher’s house with a carpentry workshop, it underwent complete reconstruction in 2007.

Tavern Šatlava, Restaurant Maštal, Restaurant Pod Radnicí which may be obtained free of charge on arrival and used for the duration of your stay. The 20% reduction is valid on the whole bill.

History of the House

The house was established in the years 1814 - 1819 as a dyer´s house and was used as a stable in the 1820's. In 1836 the upper floor was built up and the house served as a spinning mill. In the years 1865 - 1867 it served as a crushing plant for graphite. In 1871 a mechanic draper´s loom of a braid-maker Filip Bauer was placed there. In the years 1895 - 1896 the house was rebuilt and the second floor was built up. A reconstruction was carried out at the beginning of the 1990's.
