Guest house and restaurant Na Ostrově is located in a picturesque place in the centre of Český Krumlov, on a romantic island that is created by the Vltava river and a mill drive. Our guest house is from the first half of the 19th century.
The historical town centre is nearby (50 meters). There is a beautiful view of the Krumlov castle, castle tower and the Vltava river from the windows of our guest house. Central secure parking is located 150 meters P1 and 400 meters P3 from the guest house.
The house was founded in years 1814-1819 as a dyer house. In the 1820's it was used as a stable. In 1836 an extra level was built and a spinning mill was made there. In 1865 – 1867 graphite was ground in this building. In 1871 a mechanical weaving and braiding loom of Filip Bauer was located there. In 1895 – 1896 the house was rebuilt and the height increased by another level. Reconstruction was done at the beginning of 1920's.
Originally a town house with a joiner's workshop was reconstructed in 2012 and the bathrooms were modernized so that they can satisfy demanding clients.
